Hydroxyethyl cellulose (HEC) is a nonionic, water-soluble cellulose ether used as a thickener, emulsifier, dispersant and film-former, equivalent to Tylose HS 30000. It is widely used in water-based coatings, construction mortar, oil drilling, cosmetics and personal care products.
